In the blink of an eye Artificial Intelligence (AI) has swiftly moved from the realm of science fiction into everyday life. Over six meetings this group will take a look “under the hood” of AI and related technologies—machine learning, the Cloud, Internet of Things, big data—and explore the social, cultural and economic implications of their integration into society. The first meeting will provide a general introduction to AI, followed by themed sessions that explore some of the challenges and opportunities these technologies present. Each session will begin with a presentation on a selected theme, followed by a discussion.
